Breaks for the New Year!

Okay, its the New Year....I have some clients lined up for some commission work.  I have some great piece in the Cottage Garage that I am very excited to work on...The one piece is a pie chest...its amazing....I can't wait to begin working on it.

I declared myself VEGAN for the next 21 days to help bring back some control in my life, back to the yoga practice and will be hitting the gym.   Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh then we have slips, trips and falls!  Okay, quickly reorganize my self!!

My 88 year old mom, decided that she had to untangle a flag, that was on a tree in her front lawn, that was covered with snow.....hmmmmm  and my sister broke both one foot and one ankle....You had to have seen us in the ER, they were not sure who was there for treatment!

So the start of the New Year is a test of flexibility and adaptation.
I live in these because of the fidget weather

It appears that I use these more and more

This mornings wake up call....its is what it is....that is LIFE at 7degrees

Do You Rearrange your home after you de-Christmastize?

It seems like I do a furniture shuffle and items every year after I take down the Christmas decorations.  However, I don't think I am the only one....

President Obama and former Governor of Vermont Jim Douglas tweaking seating arrangements in the Oval Office
Changed up with a table lamp and chair
Ziggy decided to photobomb

The rearrangement allowed for more comfort in playing scramble
our comfort zone...on a snowy day.

a collection of candles for some special affects

We are prepared in case the electric goes out..

Enjoy the Snow Day!

Studio Transformation for New Years Celebration

Not sure why, but New Years Eve came about quickly.....a last minute party was organized by my brother in law in Shore Chicy's Studio.
This is where I work during the cold or rainy days

I reorganized the furniture ~ stored all the pieces that I am currently working on and began the magic

There was still some rosemary in the garden so this became my napkin decor

Dinner is served!

We started out with  Soupe au Pistou ~which is Provencal cuisine~  Followed by Celery, Fennel and Radish salad with butted Valdeon Toast.  A classic chicken Milanese and Risotto.  Various deserts were served including a French Apple Tart.  We ate until the stroke of 12......
